La Maison Fives
Five rooms on three levels, each with its private bathroom. A lounge-library, a self-service breakfast room, a small shared garden. 170 m² just for travelers, in a warm, designer house, conceived to combine intimacy, comfort, and experience.
We call it a Five-room Hotel: a unique place between a guest house and a mini design hotel. It’s not a hotel but it’s designed as one.
The Fives Cail District
Just 10 minutes by bike or metro from the Grand’Place and train stations of Lille, La Maison Fives is nestled against the former industrial wasteland now undergoing a renaissance: Gourmet hall, large brewery, concerts, art galleries, and murals on the walls: here, the city reinvents itself.

The building and shared spaces
Spread over three levels, La Maison Fives offers 150 m² entirely dedicated to travelers. From the entrance, a staircase leads to the five bedrooms, like in a small hotel, while the ground floor brings together the shared spaces: a bright living room with a library, a self-service breakfast area, and a small courtyard to share.
Original wooden floors, found objects, raw wood, and natural materials create a calm and cohesive atmosphere, designed to combine comfort, independence, and simplicity.
Chambre 1 – High ceilings
This 20 m² room opens the Maison Fives experience with a rare sense of space: over 3 meters high ceilings, west-facing light at the end of the day, and a mix of old features and contemporary design. The original fireplace now integrates a built-in washbasin, set on light marble and surrounded by restored woodwork.
Original wooden floors, a raw wood table with a brutalist feel, REY chairs, and a red pine headboard create a simple and elegant atmosphere. Bright shower and WC in the same space, natural linen, absolute calm. The room is spacious enough to accommodate a baby bed.
Chambre 2 – Wood paneling
On the first floor, this 20 m² room is filled with afternoon light, facing west. Its original earth ceiling, fully restored with lime, sits alongside period wood paneling and a fireplace transformed into a built-in washbasin.
An antique wardrobe, a vintage coffee table, a red pine headboard, and restored wooden floors create a soft, warm, and easy-to-read atmosphere. The bright bathroom includes a shower and WC. The room can also accommodate a baby bed. An authentic space, ideal for a comfortable stay in the heart of Fives Cail in Lille.
Chambre 3 – The intimate
Nestled on the first floor, this 15 m² east-facing room enjoys the morning sun, creating a soft and calming atmosphere. Original wooden floors, a red pine headboard echoing the floorboards, found objects, reworked lighting, and natural linen create a true cocoon.
The adapted wooden washbasin unit, vintage mirror, and enclosed shower with WC make for a compact yet very comfortable space. An ideal room for those looking for an intimate, warm, and authentic stay in Lille.
Chambre 4 – The bright one
On the second floor, this 20 m² west-facing room enjoys generous afternoon light through to the evening, with open views over the rooftops of the neighborhood. Restored original wooden floors, a red pine headboard, found objects, and unique lampshades create a soft and elegant atmosphere.
A large wooden washbasin unit, paired with a minimalist mirror inspired by Art Deco, structures the space. Bright shower, WC in the same room, natural linen. The room can accommodate a baby bed. A spacious, comfortable, and warm atmosphere.
Chambre 6 – The nest above the rooftops
On the second floor, this 15 m² east-facing room welcomes the morning light with an open, elevated view. Original wooden floors, a red pine headboard, reworked workshop lamps, found objects, and natural materials create a calm, almost suspended atmosphere.
The patinated washbasin unit, with its reworked stone and vintage mirror, gives a unique character to the bathroom, where the shower and WC share the same space. A soft, intimate, and very restful room, perfect for a quiet night above Fives Cail.
