Port Racine

C'est l'un des plus petits ports de France. D'une surface utile d'environ 8m2, son ouverture entre les jetées est de 11 mètres et ne peut abriter que de modestes barques de pêcheurs. Il demeure le vivant témoignage du corsaire napoléonien François-Médard Racine, natif du Cotentin, qui en avait fait son mouillage.

The sea is 9 km away, accessible by country roads. You can find popular large sandy beaches like in Hauteville-sur-Mer or Agon-Coutainville, or more wild beaches like in Annoville. At low tide, the sea recedes to leave 2 km of beach.

Siouville La Hague is one of the most beautiful surfing beaches in Normandy. The on-site surf club rents boards and wetsuits for €20: www.cotentinsurfclub.com. We have a catamaran (newcat 16); if you practice, we can discuss it. Besides that, catamaran, stand-up paddle, and sand yachting rentals are available in Hauteville-sur-Mer.
