Le château de Gratot est un site exceptionnel construit entre les XIIIe et XVIIIe siècles par la famille d'Argouges qui y vécut pendant seize générations. Tout d'abord château médiéval, il fut remanié au fil des siècles pour finir par tomber en ruines. Entouré de douves, ce château a une architecture variée grâce aux apports des différentes époques qui composent son histoire. 20 ans de chantiers bénévoles ont permis de le restaurer et lui redonner vie petit à petit. Tous les étés, le château accueille des expositions temporaires d'art ainsi que des spectacles en plein air pour le bonheur de tous. En arpentant le château, découvrez la légende de la fée et les différents lieux liés à celle-ci.

The sea is 9 km away, accessible by country roads. You can find popular large sandy beaches like in Hauteville-sur-Mer or Agon-Coutainville, or more wild beaches like in Annoville. At low tide, the sea recedes to leave 2 km of beach.

Spend an unforgettable day with friends or family canoeing down the Sienne from Quettreville-sur-Sienne to the sea at Hauteville-sur-Mer. Siouville La Hague is one of the most beautiful surfing beaches in Normandy. The on-site surf club rents boards and wetsuits for €20: www.cotentinsurfclub.com. We have a catamaran (newcat 16); if you practice, we can discuss it. Besides that, catamaran, stand-up paddle, and sand yachting rentals are available in Hauteville-sur-Mer.
