Les temples protestants
Le Chefresne héberge deux temples protestants inscrits aux Monuments Historiques, situés au village du Neufbourg. Nichés entre campagne verdoyante et hortensias colorés, ces monuments sont de véritables témoins du patrimoine protestant d’antan. Le petit temple, construit entre 1817 et 1824, existait dors-et-déjà dès 1612 jusqu’à 1679 au Chêne Guérin, site primitif de la communauté protestante. Quant au second temple, plus imposant, sa construction remonte à 1847. Elle n’a néanmoins jamais été achevée. Les temples sont aujourd’hui visitables depuis l’extérieur. Pour aller plus loin, des panneaux d’interprétation vous replongent sur place dans l’histoire de ce petit patrimoine.

• Nearby: Discover the beaches of Hauteville sur Mer, Montmartin sur mer and Annoville, the castle and salt marshes of Regneville-sur-Mer, the fishing port of Granville, the Agon point or the Chausey Islands.
• A bit further: Explore Mont St Michel, Utah Beach, Barneville-Carteret semaphore, Cap de la Hague and Nez de Jobourg, Tatihou Island, or the bells of Villedieu-les-Poêles.
The village of Quettreville-sur-Sienne is 2 kilometers away, where you will find a bakery, doctor, pharmacy, tobacco shop, post office, bars restaurants…
The sea is 9 km away, accessible by country roads. You can find popular large sandy beaches like in Hauteville-sur-Mer or Agon-Coutainville, or more wild beaches like in Annoville. At low tide, the sea recedes to leave 2 km of beach.
