La Petite Chapelle Saint-Michel
Perché sur son éperon rocheux à 323 mètres d'altitude, le site de la petite chapelle offre un panorama jusqu'aux portes du Maine et de la Bretagne. On peut y apercevoir le Mont-Saint-Michel par temps clair depuis la table d'orientation. Lieu tragique de la bataille de Mortain et du Mortainais en août 1944 où de nombreux soldats américains y laissèrent la vie pour notre liberté, c'est aujourd'hui un lieu de mémoire avec son monument mémorial. La petite chapelle reste fermée.

Accès libre toute l'année au site de la Petite Chapelle Saint-Michel. L'intérieur de la chapelle n'est pas toujours accessible, renseignements auprès de l'office de tourisme.

Located 10 minutes from large sandy beaches and a few kilometers from major Norman destinations such as Mont St-Michel, the D-Day beaches, and the Chausey Islands, La Maison Folia enjoys an exceptional position. It offers you a multitude of activities:
• Nearby: Discover the beaches of Hauteville sur Mer, Montmartin sur mer and Annoville, the castle and salt marshes of Regneville-sur-Mer, the fishing port of Granville, the Agon point or the Chausey Islands.
• A bit further: Explore Mont St Michel, Utah Beach, Barneville-Carteret semaphore, Cap de la Hague and Nez de Jobourg, Tatihou Island, or the bells of Villedieu-les-Poêles.
The village of Quettreville-sur-Sienne is 2 kilometers away, where you will find a bakery, doctor, pharmacy, tobacco shop, post office, bars restaurants…
The sea is 9 km away, accessible by country roads. You can find popular large sandy beaches like in Hauteville-sur-Mer or Agon-Coutainville, or more wild beaches like in Annoville. At low tide, the sea recedes to leave 2 km of beach.
