Un jardin japonisant dans la Manche sur un hectare !
Le premier, né en 1996, prolonge la longère vers un vaste et agréable étang, restructuré en 2014 complétant le jardin japonais (île grue, île tortue, cascade, grotte mont Fuji,...).
Vers le fond, au sud, des marches rustiques encastrées dans un talus boisé abrupt permettent d’accéder au second jardin : la pièce de choix, une étourdissante collection d’érables du Japon (Acer palmatum) et d’hydrangeas que Michel Leforestier a démarrée en 2003. Les couleurs d’automne somptueuses contrastent avec le zen d’une rivière minérale égayée d’un torrent au débit impressionnant et d’un petit bassin. Un pont rouge laqué exacerbe le côté orientalisant des lieux.

• Nearby: Discover the beaches of Hauteville sur Mer, Montmartin sur mer and Annoville, the castle and salt marshes of Regneville-sur-Mer, the fishing port of Granville, the Agon point or the Chausey Islands.
• A bit further: Explore Mont St Michel, Utah Beach, Barneville-Carteret semaphore, Cap de la Hague and Nez de Jobourg, Tatihou Island, or the bells of Villedieu-les-Poêles.
The village of Quettreville-sur-Sienne is 2 kilometers away, where you will find a bakery, doctor, pharmacy, tobacco shop, post office, bars restaurants…
The sea is 9 km away, accessible by country roads. You can find popular large sandy beaches like in Hauteville-sur-Mer or Agon-Coutainville, or more wild beaches like in Annoville. At low tide, the sea recedes to leave 2 km of beach.
