Les musées AMERICA & GOLD BEACH évoquent les deux événements majeurs qui ont marqué Ver-sur-Mer au 20e siècle. Le musée AMERICA retrace l'histoire de la première liaison aéropostale et le premier vol en équipage entre les États-Unis et l'Europe par l'avion trimoteur Fokker AMERICA ,depuis son décollage à New York le 29 juin 1927 jusqu'à son amerrissage forcé devant Ver-sur-Mer dans la nuit du 1er juillet 1927. Diorama, reliques de l'AMERICA, Film d'actualités de 1927... Le musée GOLD retrace les débarquements britanniques sur ce secteur le 6 juin 1944. Cinq films (35 minutes en tout) sur la préparation, la traversée, les bombardements et les débarquements les 6 et 7 juin 1944. Maquettes, dioramas, documents, photos, objets, uniformes et souvenirs personnels... Durée de la visite libre : 1h15 heure.

The sea is 9 km away, accessible by country roads. You can find popular large sandy beaches like in Hauteville-sur-Mer or Agon-Coutainville, or more wild beaches like in Annoville. At low tide, the sea recedes to leave 2 km of beach.

Spend an unforgettable day with friends or family canoeing down the Sienne from Quettreville-sur-Sienne to the sea at Hauteville-sur-Mer. The Sienne descent begins between fields (2-hour journey), continues through the magnificent Sienne Estuary (2.5-hour journey), and ends in the sea at Hauteville-sur-Mer.

Siouville La Hague is one of the most beautiful surfing beaches in Normandy. The on-site surf club rents boards and wetsuits for €20: www.cotentinsurfclub.com. We have a catamaran (newcat 16); if you practice, we can discuss it. Besides that, catamaran, stand-up paddle, and sand yachting rentals are available in Hauteville-sur-Mer.
