Ce petit fleuve côtier de 30km de long traverse le Val de Saire depuis Le Mesnil-au-Val jusqu'à Réville et Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue. Il alimente plusieurs étangs et de minuscules cours d'eau qui servent de refuge aux oiseaux et aux poissons. Des dizaines de moulins, en activité jusqu'au XIXe siècle ont aussi profité de ses eaux.

The sea is 9 km away, accessible by country roads. You can find popular large sandy beaches like in Hauteville-sur-Mer or Agon-Coutainville, or more wild beaches like in Annoville. At low tide, the sea recedes to leave 2 km of beach.

Siouville La Hague is one of the most beautiful surfing beaches in Normandy. The on-site surf club rents boards and wetsuits for €20: www.cotentinsurfclub.com. We have a catamaran (newcat 16); if you practice, we can discuss it. Besides that, catamaran, stand-up paddle, and sand yachting rentals are available in Hauteville-sur-Mer.
