Splendide vue sur le marais et la rivière de la Madeleine ; un poste de vue aménagé d'une table de lecture vous permet d'interpréter le paysage qui s'offre à vous. En prenant le chemin à droite qui part dans le marais, vous arriverez au Canal des Espagnols, projet napoléonien afin d'assécher les marais. La main d'œuvre locale étant insuffisante, on fit appel à des détenus militaires et en 1809, à des prisonniers espagnols.

The sea is 9 km away, accessible by country roads. You can find popular large sandy beaches like in Hauteville-sur-Mer or Agon-Coutainville, or more wild beaches like in Annoville. At low tide, the sea recedes to leave 2 km of beach.

Spend an unforgettable day with friends or family canoeing down the Sienne from Quettreville-sur-Sienne to the sea at Hauteville-sur-Mer. The Sienne descent begins between fields (2-hour journey), continues through the magnificent Sienne Estuary (2.5-hour journey), and ends in the sea at Hauteville-sur-Mer.

Siouville La Hague is one of the most beautiful surfing beaches in Normandy. The on-site surf club rents boards and wetsuits for €20: www.cotentinsurfclub.com. We have a catamaran (newcat 16); if you practice, we can discuss it. Besides that, catamaran, stand-up paddle, and sand yachting rentals are available in Hauteville-sur-Mer.
