Ce pont militaire, conçu par le Génie britannique, vestige de la bataille de Normandie en 1944, a traversé la Manche pour devenir un ouvrage clé du port artificiel britannique à Arromanches, puis à partir de 1958, il fut transféré à Fourneaux (50) pour enjamber la Vire. Menacé de destruction en 2008, il a été restauré et remonté sur le bord de la Vire à Pont-Farcy.

The sea is 9 km away, accessible by country roads. You can find popular large sandy beaches like in Hauteville-sur-Mer or Agon-Coutainville, or more wild beaches like in Annoville. At low tide, the sea recedes to leave 2 km of beach.

We have a catamaran (newcat 16); if you practice, we can discuss it. Besides that, catamaran, stand-up paddle, and sand yachting rentals are available in Hauteville-sur-Mer.
