Dès le XVIe siècle, Gonneville possédait un atelier de forge considérable. Le sieur de Gouberville nous en parle dans son journal : "Je m'en allais aux forges de Gonneville où je commande qu'on me fît un essieu en fer pour un chariot à chevaux. Je donne cinq sols aux compagnons, et promis à Gros Jean marteleur, un boisseau de froment pour qu'il me fît un bon essieu". Après la révolution, les forges se transforment en filature de coton. En 1828, elles emploient 128 ouvriers. L'usine ferma en 1886.

We have a catamaran (newcat 16); if you practice, we can discuss it. Besides that, catamaran, stand-up paddle, and sand yachting rentals are available in Hauteville-sur-Mer.
